A councillor in the Southern District Council intends to move a motion of no confidence against the District’s Council Chairman, Leach Tlhomelang.

Councillor Abram Dibeela is scheduled to present the motion during the full Council meeting next week Thursday.

Dibeela has not detailed his reasons of wanting Tlhomelang to step down but only stated in the notice, “That this Honourable House put a motion of no confidence in the Southern District Council Chairperson, Hon Leach Tlhomelang,”

However some of the Councillors told The Voice that, the motion could have been prompted by recent allegations that the Chairman bullied and manhandled a Council Secretary who has since been transferred from the District.
