‘Bullied’ husband attacked for walking in on cheating wife
A Mogoditshane man who was recently assaulted by his wife’s suspected lover has confessed to being scared of his ‘giant”rival.
In a bizarre case of what Andrew Muzila, 43 has described as blatant wife stealing and husband bullying, Muzila,was beaten black and blue by his wife’s alleged boyfriend of three years,Atwelll Ndlovu on Sunday morning at the matrimonial house in Mogoditshane.
Nursing an eye injury the confused and hurting Muzilawho has since reported the matter to the police was on Wednesday still struggling to come to terms with the fact that Ndlovu had the audacity to attack him yet again and this time around in his own house.
Although last Sunday was not the first time he was assaulted by Ndlovu, Muzila said the alleged marriage wrecker was definitely becoming bold and more daring.
“I walked in on the two lovers enjoying a good morning in my house on Sunday this week. They had obviously spent the night together. When I asked my wife why she had locked herself in the house with Ndlovu the man became furious and charged at me. When I retreated he punched me on the face, felled me to the ground and continued to pummel me with fists.
When my phone fell from my pocket he took it and walked away,”alleged the man who moved out of his matrimonial house two years ago partly to avoid frequent fights with his wife over Ndlovu and partly because he was afraid of her lover.
“The truth is that I am afraid of that man. He is a giant and too strong for me. He has assaulted me more than once and I was afraid that he would end up killing me if I did not give up the woman, so I decided to rent a room and only visit my wife occasionally. I however didn’t expect him to take over my home, at least not as yet,”Lamented Muzila
The assaults started in 2009 after he discovered that his Zimbabwean wife, Loveness Muzila was having an adulterous relationship with a fellow Zimbabwean, Ndlovu, he claimed.
“ I became suspicious when the two started making frequent visits to Zimbabwe together and my wife always perched herself in the front seat with Ndlovu.
“When I confronted her about her behaviour she told him and he attacked me.”
Muzila’s wife, Loveness, however said her husband was ‘a lying woman abuser.’
“He is not telling the truth. He did not find me locked inside the house with Ndlovu. The man was in the kitchen when my husband walked inside the house and started hurling accusations at him and that was when the fight started. In any case, I do not wish to discuss the issue any further because it is a police matter,” Loveness said
The alleged marriage wrecker, Ndlovu also declined to discuss ‘a Police matter with the press.’
