JUSTICE FOR ALL
Tebogo Ditebza Regasegile via Facebook on The Voice’s plan to get dad acquitted following accusation by daughter that he had fondled with her privates parts and requested sex. However, daughter’s mum, who has been apart from dad for 15years, said that ‘he didn’t do it’ and was merely ‘framed’. (If you missed the story last week, catch on the website: www.thevoicebw.com:
“I quote: “We wish to help him file an appeal and have engaged a lawyer.” I must applaud The Voice newspaper for giving back to the community and helping this poor man. I hope many newspapers copy what The Voice is doing and lend a helping hand where needed.”
Kefilwe Mataboge: There is a case in Chadibe (near Francistown) whereby a stepdaughter seems to have plotted against her stepfather by accusing him of rape so the police have to investigate thoroughly. There is also one I think in Mmathethe where DNA tests proved that the girl’s father was not the father to her baby as the daughter had claimed but rather this girl had a boyfriend. What are these children doing to their parents with so much lies?
MUD STILL STICKS
The story of 59- year- old man freed by the High Court after appealing his rape conviction reveals that once accused and convicted, even wrongly, the mud still sticks:
Motsholathebe Popo: Technicalities of the law, maybe you did something but evidence is lacking. Lets talk to the victim herself to hear if indeed she was raped, that scar will never fade, a lifetime of mind torture.
Botlhale Setshego: In many cases the rape wouldn’t have happened. When you don’t give some ladies money they turn around to say it is rape, you will spend years behind bars man. Make sure you pay for the service next time
Tunah Keletso Suping: Free at last but doesn’t prove your innocence. He could indeed be a rapist.
Lala Ruz Ruthie Tugh: No need to blame your partner when you have already contracted the virus. Female condoms are there for a purpose, why didn’t she not them given that your husband is cheating. And what was she hoping the elders would do in this issue? Women need to wise up and take control of their sexual life.
Mst Motswaiso : This is why I won’t get married. Your partner will sleep with you without protection and you will be ok with it thinking you are his and he his only yours, but the reality being that he is cheating.
