JUST FOR LAUGHS

In one of the Zebras training camp in Belgium some time ago under coach Colwin Rowe one of the officials was asked to prepare a match sheet but unfortunately he didn’t know how to write, so he tried to seek help from the players but no one wanted to help.
They all refused to assist because he had previously refused to stay behind in Belgium with one of the injured players saying he wanted to travel with the rest of the squad to see Holland. In the end the match officials couldn’t start the game, everybody stood and looked at him and the coach (Rowe) was laughing his lungs out while the gentleman was almost in tears.

TOP 8 AWARDS

Let me take this time and congratulate the Ecco City Greens coach Atshele Molapi for winning Best Coach, Mirror Shimanyana on winning best player,Kabelo Dambe on best goalkeeper and Tsotso on his top goal scorer award.

ZEBRAS

I had a chat with the boys in camp in Kenya. They were all geared up for Mali. They were all happy with the reception in Nairobi and could not stop talking about the luxurious hotel they are staying in. Apparently it is a Five Star building and the boys are living it up. The boys also praised the training facilities in Kenya and made it clear that they are raring to go. No injuries were reported; the team is just waiting for the whistle on Saturday. Goodluck boys!

CAPTAIN FANTASTIC

My boy Dipsy Selolwane was in town for a few days during this international break. I had a chat with him about his time at TUKS FC and he is so happy that everything is going well for him. He has been playing regularly and helping the team as they are still unbeaten in the league. I congratulated him on his captaincy in the team.

CALVIN MASIRE

After a decade in the black and white of Magosi Mochudi Centre Chiefs; the longest serving player, Calvin ‘Paulo’ Masire has been loaned to Uniao Flamingo Santos together with Hassler Montsho and the young Eric Molefe. Good luck boys. The bench will miss you Paulo.

TSOTSO’S DEBUT

It was so good watching one of our young players, Tsotso Ngele making his debut for his club Platinum Stars in the South African league. Despite them losing the game and him coming on as a substitute, he had a descent game. I wish you luck and hope you can pick it from there my boy.

JOY FOUNDATION TOURNMENT

What a tournament it was over the last weekend. Well organised and run very well with Extension Gunners emerging the winners and pocketing P100 000, gold medals and cup. Mochudi Centre Chiefs as runners up pocketed P50 000 and silver medals. GU and Ecco completed the teams and walked away with P25 000 each. All the four teams received P 50 000 as appearance fees. Thank you Sis Joy.
