With the advantage of being located along the banks of Chobe River which gives guests a spectacular view, Cresta Mowana Safari Lodge has gone a step further to ensure that it remains a lodge of choice for visitors in Kasane.

Last week, the lodge which is part of Cresta Marakanelo group launched its health and beauty spa, an event which was graced by various leaders of the private sector.
“Our understanding of growth is not limited to the number of rooms under the Cresta Portfolio but also the number of strategic units and ancillary services to make the guests stay longer and comfortable. We therefore view this health spa as a profit centre with a discrete marketing plan,’’ said Cresta Marakanelo’s managing director Tawanda Makaya.

He said the spa has added a variety to their leisure market adding that they intend to make a solid mark in the health and beauty market.
For the spa, Cresta partnered with Clarins which is an international beauty institute with over 50 years of experience in beauty needs.
Officially opening the spa, Minister of Environment, Wildlife and Tourism, Kitso Mokaila applauded Cresta for refurbishing the lodge to add the spa despite economic recession.
“While we promote and welcome tourism developments, we also equally promote and welcome reinvestments to maintain standards to allow our industry to remain globally competitive and stay on top of the game,’’ he said.
He said the new spa will significantly contribute to the desire to increase the length of stay for tourists as it is inkeeping with current global trends where tourists are more and more demanding for some of health activities even as they travel to keep physically healthy, pamper and remove stress from the body.
Meanwhile guests at the event were also treated to various services offered at the health and beauty spa such as facials, manicure, pedicure, massages
