Four horse riding robbers who have terrorised Maun residents in the past few weeks have added rape to their criminal activities.
The notorious gang that has eluded police for more than two weeks now struck again last Friday, raping a 23 -year-old woman in Sedie ward.
Acting Station Commander, Assistant Superintendent Zhabi Hulela said that the woman was raped by the gang after her boyfriend whom she was walking with ran away.
“The horse riders met a couple in Sedie ward around ten at night and demanded cell phones and money. After finding nothing from the couple, they assaulted both of them with sjamboks but the boyfriend managed to escape, leaving his girlfriend to be raped.”
After raping the woman, the gang continued with their criminal activities, robbing and assaulting a 31- year- old man who was from a bar.
The victim who did not want to be named told The Voice that he was attacked a few metres away from his home. Speaking from the hospital bed in Letsholathebe, he said that when he saw the horses he thought it was policemen on patrol.
“They surrounded me and within a blink of an eye, they had felled me to the ground with a whip. One of them tried to get his horse to step on my stomach but thank God I managed to get away and run for my life,” said the man who was left nursing swollen eyes and lacerations all over the body.
Police have pleaded with anyone with information that canlead to the arrest of the criminls to come forward.

Maun is full of satanic activities and the enemy is targeting this place thats why there are so many of the youth deaths annually, we need to pray seriously.
