Shell gave away the first of four Corsa utility vans at the Consumer Fair as part of their unnual Fill and Win competion.
Taolo Dube, 40 could not believe his luck when he was handed over the keys to his new car.“I’m very elated! This car will help me a lot. I thank Shell for this initiative which empowers Batswana. The good thing about this competition is that even if you do not win anything it is not a problem because you pay for the petrol you use and qualify.,” said Dube who said he was a first time winner.
“I always try competitions but up to now I had not won anything from Shell or anywhere so I thank Shell and will continue to fill up at Shell every week.”Before this year’s instalment of the 10 year old annual competition Shell was giving away an Audi car but Marketing Manager, Masa Thibedi said they decided to give more of their customers more chances of winning by giving away four vehicles. “It is a way of thanking our customers for their support.
“The next car will be given away in the following month and we will be giving away a car each month until October,” she said.
A cheque worth P2 000 was given to the other four finalists as a consolation prize. One of the finalists, Ontibile Kelesitse said he was grateful to Shell for trying to uplift their lives.
