Mogorosi set to tie the knot next month
Bloemfontein Celtic’s new signing and Zebras speedy winger Joel ‘16V’ Mogorosi’s bachelor days are over.
The award winning football star who was snapped up by Siwelele for a record breaking P3 million will tie the knot to his long time sweet heart Naledi Pule this August.
The two lovebirds have been dating since 2005 and have a five-year-old son together.
Mogorosi who left the country on Thursday to join his new teammates for pre-season training in Pretoria, said the wedding celebrations will be around 11/12 next month.
“I have already made my preliminary appearance at the District Commissioner’s office and it shows how serious I am about settling down. I just love this woman and want to commit to her,” he said.
Currently Botswana’s hottest football property; Mogorosi ended this season as a joint top goal scorer with teammate Mara Moloi, both finding the back of the net an impressive 26 times for a share of the P25 000 prize. He told the Voice that the decision to tie the knot came after thorough soul searching and good advice from those close to him.
“It is not easy for footballers to marry, mainly because of the nature of our career or for lack of finances, but I had to take this decision. I have been a committed boyfriend for a long time and know when to come back home, rest and have time for my son,” he said.

His move to the lucrative South Africa Premier Soccer League was not without hurdles as the player had initially signed a two-year deal with Zimbabwe side FC Platinum for P400 000. The Botswana international received P147 000 as signing on fee from the mine giants.
However after a man of the match performance against Bafana Bafana in a World Cup qualifier, Celtic made their intentions clear; the deal was finalised and now the nimble footed 16V can seal it with a kiss.
