Mabogo Junior Secondary School male soccer team are the 2012 BISA soccer Champions.

WINNING TEAM: Mabogo JSS

The Palapye based school scooped a gold medal after defeating Letsopa Junior Secondary 2-1 in the finals. Sekgele Junior Secondary School from Thamaga got position three and obtained a bronze medal.
The tense final game was played in Ledumang Senior Secondary School during the week and multitudes of supporters who thronged the dusty ground were treated to an exciting soccer game by the two youthful sides.

The two teams went to a recess locked at a 0-0 scoreline but after half time the boys from Palapye dominated the proceedings with the colourful mid field maestro Boikobo Diepo outclassing his counterparts from Letsopa with his silky skills and amazing pace and it was not long before the talented forward Serati Semadi scored an opening goal in the 60th minute.

The Letsopa boys fought hard for an equalizer but failed to penetrate the well marshalled defence of the Palapye boys. Serati got a brace later through a spectacular half volley from a cheeky free kick from Diepo.
On the 80th minute Letsopa pulled one back, but with just 10 minutes on the clock hanged on for the famous victory and were deservedly crowned the 2012 BISA Champions.

Speaking to Voice Sport the highly emotional Mabogo Junior Secondary School Head Coach Garayi Ndlovu said: “‘I am very happy with my team’s achievement as we have been qualifying for the BISA finals for the past three years since the 2009 editions and it was through good preparations that we finally managed to scoop the coveted trophy.”

On the other hand the BISA National Organiser Alphius Moloi informed Voice Sport that the usual financial partner Coca Cola did not sponsor the 2012 editions since they were informed very late about the games following the impasse between the government and teachers over working hours.

They however have committed themselves to sponsor the 2013 BISA soccer finals”.On the female’s side Sekgele obtained position one whereas Nkange Junior Secondary School and Morama from Jwaneng obtained position two and three respectively.
