In a continuing effort towards growing and developing the agricultural sector in Botswana, Stanbic Bank Botswana last weekend participated in the annual Pandamatenga Farmers Show.

“Stanbic Bank is fully committed to making every effort to cultivating Botswana’s agricultural potential to the greatest extent. Exhibitions such as this, the Pandamatenga Farmers Show, serve as an important tool or avenue through which we can achieve this objective.  We, as Stanbic Bank, are very excited to have been on board,” said Kenneth Makubate, Stanbic Bank Head of Agribusiness.

The Pandamatenga Farmers Show provides a platform for Pandamatenga farmers to expose their trade to the public and to fellow farmers and organisations in the industry. The exhibition facilitates the interaction between farmers and other industry professionals.

During the show Stanbic Bank operated a stall where they distributed information on all of the products and services it has on offer for those in the agriculture sector.
Show Committee Sales Representative, Shelagh Swynnerton said the Pandamatenga Farmers wanted to use the forum to share best practices and be recognised for their efforts in the agricultural sector. “It is very much about exposure and making the right connections to further their agricultural business efforts,” she said.

Makubate added that Stanbic Bank has been working with the agricultural businesses across Botswana and that they recently exhibited in Sandvelt and Tshepe Farmers Field Days.
