- Agrees to pay P700 monthly
Extension Gunners star Boitshoko Zikhale was arraigned before Her Worship Tladi Merafhe at the Broadhurst Magistrate Court this Monday on child maintenance charges.

Zikhale (25) is said to have fathered a child with Thato Ntoko (25), who claims the former Uniao Flamingo Santos’ star neglected his father duties since they broke up in August.
Ntoko had demanded a monthly P1 250 as child maintenance for their 18 months old daughter, but Zikhale who earns P4500 from his employers Extension Gunners said he can only afford P700.
“We broke up when the child was a year old and since then he has never bothered to contribute to the upkeep of his daughter,” said Ntoko during an interview with the Voice.
Making a ruling, Merafhe observed that there was evidence that the footballer makes an effort to maintain his child but in a rather erratic fashion.
“You need to pay that amount beginning July 30th of which if you default you will be charged with contempt of court which carries a penalty of one year imprisonment,” she said.
The skillful youngster alerted the Magistrate to the fact that footballers’ pay dates are unreliable and asked if it was possible for the court to persuade his employers to pay him in time so he would be able to pay the required P700 within reasonable and stipulated time period.
“That is possible but you will need a court order,” advised Merafhe.
During an interview with the Voice Zikhale said he senses sour grapes from his ex-girlfriend’s court move. He said things were fine when they were still dating but the latter became hostile when they broke up.
“I think she is just bitter that I dumped her and is now using my daughter to get back at me,” he said.
He however admitted that he last bought his daughter clothes in March but insists he loves his daughter and will do whatever it takes to take care of her.
