Woman wins beast in the Domboshaba competition
TumaniMbise, 57 of Nswazwi village in Tutume-sub district says she is the happiest woman on earth after she was named the first prize winner of this year’s Domboshaba cultural festival competition.
“What a year to end 2011. I am so happy, I never expected to win, I just can’t stop smiling,’’ she said.
The mother of two won herself a beast after entering the competition which was meant to support Ikalanga language.
Mbise who is a farmer said she entered the competition in September 30 when Domboshaba festival organizers held a cultural event at Nswazwi village. She said that she entered without any hope of winning as she had never won anything before.
“A big thank you toDomboshaba organizing committee for doing part of the cultural event at my village because I would have not known about the competition if they had not come to the village,’’ she said with a smile.
